About Frozen Absinthe
Frozen Absinthe is a fantasy aromatic accord that adds an icy sensory effect to the bitter green associations of absinthe and wormwood. Wormwood is botanically Artemisia absinthium, but THoO’s note listing does not prove the use of a natural wormwood extract or of the alcoholic drink. The term describes a designed olfactory impression.
Scent Profile
The accord can combine bitter herbs, anise-like sweetness, greenness, and dry woody aromatics with a sudden cool-air or mint-like sensation. “Frozen” sharpens and brightens the bitterness; it is not a manufacturing claim. Depending on the formula, the note may feel medicinal, liqueur-like, crisp, or softly sweet-bitter.
Use in Perfumery
At the top it can place cool bitterness against incense, neroli, and rose, then contrast the warmer heart of burned sugar, saffron, patchouli, and myrrh. It gives an aromatic-woody composition a dramatic temperature shift and prevents sweet or resinous materials from feeling static. The accord’s narrative power comes from simultaneous cold, bitterness, sweetness, and mystique. A note name records an intended olfactory effect; it does not necessarily declare that one raw material appears unchanged in the formula. The exact balance remains formula-specific, and perceived sweetness, greenness, diffusion, and persistence can change with dosage and surrounding materials. Unless the supplier or brand publishes the information, no botanical species, extraction route, chemical structure, or manufacturing process should be inferred from the name. Its catalog identity should therefore preserve the documented wording while separating verified source facts from sensory interpretation.
