Aromalide is a proprietary musk material developed by CPL Aromas for use by its own perfumers. Its character includes fruit and flowers, with a pear-like freshness that gives it a different emphasis from a musk described only in terms of clean laundry.

Scent Profile

A crisp impression of pear meets the smooth, softly musky character associated with ambrette. Beneath that brighter fruitiness is a gentle warmth reminiscent of skin, allowing lightness and softness to sit together rather than pulling the material towards a sharply fresh or heavily sweet extreme. It can make a juicy impression feel fuller while giving flowers a rounded, luminous setting.

Use in Perfumery

Aromalide can reinforce fruity openings and add depth to the floral heart of a composition. Its useful contrast is between a fresh, mobile pear-like facet and the warmer texture below it: the opening retains its brightness, while the musky character gives it a smoother continuation. That makes it a way to connect sweet, juicy or floral effects with a soft finish, supporting their presence without covering their finer details in a dominant blanket of musk.
