About Ysven

Ysven is a niche fragrance house from the Philippines, created by AJ Patawaran, an APF Certified Perfumer and brand consultant. Its compositions take their cues from cocktails and spirits, translating the culture of mixing drinks into wearable perfume.

History

Patawaran did not begin in fine fragrance. He started out as a product developer and formulator for local personal care and cosmetic brands, and it was there that his interest in perfumery took hold. After years of research and development, he launched Ysven with three original fragrances, a starting point that has since grown into a larger cocktail-themed collection.

Philosophy & Signature Style

In interviews, Patawaran has described perfume and cocktails as sharing a creative and sensory affinity: in both, ingredients are layered and balanced to evoke moods and stories. That idea guides the house, which aims to merge technical precision with narrative rather than simply reproduce the smell of a drink. As one of Asia's emerging perfumer-founders, he also frames the work as a way of bringing Filipino craft to a wider audience.

Iconic Fragrances

The Cocktail collection now comprises six extraits de parfum in 60 mL: Blackwing, Vodka Lime, Rum Cola and Blue Mojito by Patawaran, with Solar Amber and Long Island by Renato Lopena Jr. Alongside them sits the Cellar collection and its White Moscato Parfum, a 60 mL release that turns the house's attention from the bar toward wine.
