Vapormundum
An independent German perfume house founded by Joschka Klee, Vapormundum turns music, memories and imagined settings into fragrances with dedicated layering accords.
About Vapormundum
Vapormundum is an independent German perfume house founded by self-taught perfumer Joschka Klee. Music, places, memories and emotions provide starting points for his compositions, with each fragrance given its own imagined setting.
History
Alongside learning to compose through years of experimentation, Klee explored ways of bringing fragrance together with music, painting and poetry. The atmosphere of a techno rave or a desert after dark can become the subject of a perfume. The fragrances are handcrafted in Germany, keeping concept development, formulation, maturation and filling closely connected.
Philosophy and Character
Independence allows Klee to choose materials from different suppliers and build a palette suited to each idea. The house's Accord Concept extends that freedom to the wearer. Accords that might usually remain building blocks inside a formula become separate compositions, available to layer over the main fragrance. Each 50 mL perfume is accompanied by two dedicated 8 mL accords. It can be worn alone, or its character can be shifted by emphasizing a particular facet. This makes personal interpretation part of the experience.
Notable Fragrances
Electri sets champagne against incense in the darkness of a club. Aura explores softer nocturnal emotions through cherry and oud. Deserta draws on a desert at night, while Serpent connects the beauty of roses with a suggestion of danger.
