SORA DORA does not display family history as the authority of an old pedigree. It returns the freedom found by one immigrant who moved from Portugal to France and worked with plants and scent to creation four generations later. Perfume becomes a vessel for decision, affection, and conflict rather than a list of materials.
History
Antoine Soradora was born in Loulé, Portugal, in 1902. At eighteen he left the path expected by his family and moved to Gréasque in Provence. The official story describes how knowledge from an agricultural childhood helped him cultivate gardens and eventually enter the world of scent around Grasse. His great-grandson Quentin Dorado carried that memory forward, launching a house bearing the family name and an opening collection in 2021.
Philosophy & Signature Style
Materials are not polished into cleanliness alone. Ripe fruit, heated florals, liquor, leather, smoke, and dark woods retain high density. Each composition may connect with a person, place, or emotion from family and travel, but the story is not reproduced literally. Forceful sweetness meets bitterness, and intimacy meets unease, leaving enough instability for the wearer's own memory to move.
