Scents of P.L.T.O is a fragrance house founded in Indonesia in 2024 that calls itself a Modern Asian Fragrance House. Based in Jakarta, it makes perfumes alongside hair and body mists and room and linen sprays.
History
The name nods to Pluto, the distant dwarf planet,. The house works with international perfumers, including Bertrand Duchaufour and Vincent Ricord, and sells its fragrances through its Jakarta stores and online.
Philosophy & Signature Style
Rather than recreating familiar luxury, the house sets out to record places, cultures, memories and imagined futures from a modern Asian point of view. Its starting points range from tropical botanicals and everyday rituals to imagined futures and reinterpretations of Asian culture. Each new release joins an evolving archive of fragrances, conceived as a new chapter in the house’s story through series such as Specimen and Asian Archive.
Iconic Fragrances
Fermented Pear, inspired by Korea, layers pear and ginseng with rice water and boricha. Inked Hinoki, inspired by Japan, uses hinoki and iris to evoke paper, timber and quiet space. Specimen 09 Banana Sambac, created with Sunpride Indonesia, moves from banana heart and mango into gardenia and jasmine sambac.
