About OSAJI
OSAJI is a Japanese lifestyle brand founded by cosmetics developer Masakazu Shigeta. Beginning with research into healthy skin, it has extended its approach across skin care, makeup and fragrance, placing everyday sensory experience alongside the practical work of formulation.
History
Shigeta began developing cosmetics in 2001 after his mother experienced skin difficulties, and established OSAJI in 2017 following work on earlier brands. The name refers to physicians in Edo-period Japan who mixed medicines with a spoon, connecting the modern business to attentive care and the considered selection of ingredients rather than to a single cosmetic category.
Philosophy & Signature Style
The brand treats ingredient choice as a question of skin science, rather than assuming that plant-derived ingredients are always preferable. Within fragrance, its emphasis is on the relationship between scent, memory and the changing textures of daily life. Names drawn from prepositions or imagined landscapes offer an opening for personal interpretation, allowing the wearer to connect a composition with a place, an hour or a mood without prescribing one fixed story.
Iconic Fragrances
The Eau de Toilette collection includes scents such as At and Of, using brief words to explore relationships with time and space. The 2026 Long Season collection marks the thirtieth anniversary of the Fishmans album. Its compact fragrances interpret the music through atmosphere and memory, making that listening experience a starting point for scent within everyday life.
