About ORMAIE
ORMAIE is a Paris fragrance house established in 2018 by Marie-Lise Jonak and her son Baptiste Bouygues. Its perfumes connect remembered experiences with art and craft, treating the scent and its physical presentation as parts of a single creative work.
History
The mother-and-son partnership brings different experiences and sensibilities into a sustained conversation. Natural materials shaped the early collection, while later releases expanded the house’s expression through extrait formats and new bottle series; the collaboration remains rooted in the careful development of an idea rather than in a rigid formula for every release.
Philosophy & Signature Style
The inspirations often begin with recognizable memories: paper at school, wood in a library, mist in a citrus field or the heat of a summer walk. Geometric wooden caps, each with a distinctive shape and color, turn the bottles into small sculptural objects. Clear glass allows the fragrance itself to participate in that visual composition, while the scent attempts to retain the light, temperature and atmosphere of an experience rather than simply reproducing a list of its objects.
Iconic Fragrances
Papier Carbone explores paper, wood and the sweetness of childhood memory, while Les Brumes recalls morning mist among citrus trees. Yvonne combines floral and fruity brightness with an affectionate relationship to classical perfumery, showing how the house places familiar forms within a personal and contemporary setting.
