About MONOEARTH
MONOEARTH is a Japanese lifestyle brand making personal fragrance, skincare, towels and loungewear. Its products invite a closer look at the things used every day and at what feels sufficient for one’s own life, connecting familiar objects with the choices made around them.
History
Yosuke Watanabe and his joint representative, Tanaka, established the brand in 2018 after working in the planning and development of household goods. A journey to explore manufacturing in India introduced them to moringa, and visits to farmers in Thailand and southern India deepened their relationship with the raw material. Product sales began in August 2019 at a pop-up in Ginza Mitsukoshi.
Philosophy & Signature Style
The name expresses the idea of one necessary thing on earth, paired with the message “this is enough.” Questioning overproduction, MONOEARTH aims to consider both everyday use and the background of its materials. The personal fragrance range has sprays and oils, with sugarcane-derived squalane and moringa oil providing the foundation for the oil format; products for scenting a room form a separate part of the range.
Iconic Fragrances
Oriental White Tea combines tea, white flowers and musk to suggest a hotel stay, while Floral Rock Rose uses rose and white lily to recall a hotel’s floral decoration. Herbal Horizon imagines a rooftop herb garden in the city, continuing the interest in places and moments that can become part of everyday life through fragrance.
