About Jimmy Choo
Jimmy Choo grew as a London accessories house by treating shoes not as secondary to clothing but as objects that shape posture, movement, and the occasion itself. Fragrance similarly completes the confidence of taking a step rather than simply applying luxury from the outside.
History
Shoemaker Jimmy Choo and former British Vogue accessories editor Tamara Mellon co-founded the company in 1996 and opened its first boutique on Motcomb Street. Founding director Sandra Choi oversaw collection design as red-carpet visibility and international retail carried the business from shoes into bags and accessories. A fragrance licensing partnership with Interparfums led to the first perfume launch in 2011, adding scent to the accessory vocabulary.
Philosophy & Signature Style
A slender heel, curve, or reflective surface is proportioned to appear most alive when the body moves. Fruit, florals, patchouli, and woods in fragrance are often arranged for legible diffusion and a polished trail, bridging everyday preparation with evening presence. Glamour is not meant to be passive decoration. The person chooses a shoe or scent to decide how she enters a room. That combination of technical finish, recognizability, and assertive ease connects footwear and perfume even though their production disciplines are distinct.
