About HACHI Fragrance.
HACHI Fragrance. is a Japanese perfume label established by fragrance enthusiast Rika. Its name comes from hachi, the number eight, whose widening written form is regarded in Japan as an auspicious sign of growth.
History
Before starting the label, the founder wrote fragrance reviews on her blog, @cosme and X. Passing forty prompted her to consider creating a brand of her own, taking her experience as a wearer into a new project. Sales began on 1 November 2026 with SILENCE LAVENDER, HACHI Ale 2026 and Natsumatsuri.
Philosophy & Signature Style
The aim is to make fragrances that feel comfortable and easy to wear, with a twist and a sense of depth that remain approachable. The house considers that interacting materials can suggest smells not literally included in a formula, and therefore keeps its published scent lists brief. It leaves wearers free to describe their own impressions, without presenting one response as the correct way to experience a scent.
Iconic Fragrances
SILENCE LAVENDER centres on English lavender flower oil, while HACHI Ale 2026 explores ale and the time spent enjoying it with others; Natsumatsuri takes a summer festival at seventeen as its subject. White-coated bottles carry figure-eight logos in colours associated with each work. The slightly wider cap also has a practical purpose, giving fingers an edge to grip when opening the bottle.
