About Elizabeth Arden

Elizabeth Arden is a New York beauty house that presented cosmetics not as concealment but as a daily practice supporting health, knowledge, and confidence. Skincare, makeup, salon treatment, and fragrance were joined into an experience women could choose and learn to use for themselves.

History

Canadian-born Florence Nightingale Graham adopted the name Elizabeth Arden and opened her first Fifth Avenue salon, marked by a red entrance, in 1910. She introduced scientific formulation, makeovers, travel sizes, and coordinated beauty programs early, then built an international salon network. Following the founder's death, the company passed through several ownership structures and now operates within Revlon, maintaining both beauty and fragrance portfolios.

Philosophy & Signature Style

Beauty is treated as a skill of understanding skin, caring for it, and shaping one's own presentation rather than as a temporary ornament. The white-coated beauty adviser, consultation, treatment, and product formed a salon culture that valued clear explanation and visible experience. Fragrance participates in the same broad practice: not only a grand entrance, but a way to support mood and self-care in everyday life. Accessibility across product categories and prices sits beside a recognizable sense of classic New York polish.

Iconic Fragrances
