About Parfums Dusita
Parfums Dusita is an independent Parisian perfume house founded by Thai-born perfumer Pissara Umavijani. Her fragrances bring together memories of Thailand, French perfumery and the poetry of her father.
History
Pissara grew up in Bangkok and moved to Paris in 2011. Fascinated by French fragrances from childhood, she studied perfumery independently and founded Dusita in 2016. The house opened its Paris boutique in 2018, close to the Place Vendôme that had once figured in her dream of a perfume house. It is a place where the collection and the ideas behind it can be experienced together.
Philosophy & Signature Style
Her father Montri Umavijani was a poet. His writing provides a starting point for fragrances intended to connect people through scent and imagination. The house takes its name from a paradise associated with the joy and inner peace he pursued in his poetry. Pissara also makes an illustration for each composition, adding a visual interpretation of the scent and its poetic inspiration.
Collections & Fragrances
The collection ranges from La Douceur de Siam, inspired by a Thai garden, to Montri, a tribute bearing her father’s name. At Atelier Dusita in Paris, visitors can explore materials and accords while making a fragrance.
