History
The original Le Dix bottle was later lost from view. After a search lasting fifteen years, the house's archivists rediscovered it. For a collection of ten fragrances announced in 2025, Balenciaga scanned the bottle in detail and recreated its form as a contemporary, refillable vessel. The design carries a specific piece of the house's past into products made for use today.
Philosophy & Signature Style
The collection places archival details beside modern production techniques. Deliberate aging gives the packaging a sense of elapsed time, while the rounded glass cap and hand tied ribbon make the bottle immediately recognizable. The box recalls the design and lettering of Le Dix and sits within a deep industrial gray outer case. These choices make the relationship between an older object and a current fragrance visible before the bottle is opened.
Iconic Fragrances
Le Dix marks the beginning of Balenciaga's fragrance history. Twenty Four Seven belongs to the 2025 collection and pairs a rich vanilla character with amber and musks. Together, the two works show how an archival bottle can connect distinct moments in the house's perfume history.
