About Aíam
Aíam is a Japanese beauty house launched in 2020 to support the feeling of being able to say, “I am myself,” through fragrance and self-care. Its products do not ask someone to approach a finished ideal; they create a pause in which changing emotions and a personal sense of beauty can be recognized.
History
Founder and creative director MANAMI had spent years communicating through fashion and social media, where she experienced how easily people can become caught in comparing themselves with others and being compared in return. That observation grew into a brand intended to help people acknowledge themselves on their own terms. Aíam launched in October 2020, opened its first physical store in Shinjuku the following year, and expanded from fragrance into body, hair, and hand care.
Philosophy & Signature Style
Scent is treated not as a personality test but as a chapter in a life or an emotional landscape chosen for a particular day. Numbered chapters avoid imposing a ready-made character, leaving room for wearers to connect fragrance with their own memory and story. Retail spaces informed by natural light, stone, water, and geological layers extend the idea beyond the bottle, encouraging a quiet return to one's own senses. The result is polished and contemporary while keeping self-recognition, rather than performance for others, at the center.
Iconic Fragrances
